The principle behind the contained wind turbine is not new. It has not been used in the industry in
the past due to a trend towards large, free running wind turbines. Structural complexity of the diffuser
in such large systems was however a significant problem.
WindTec Systems AG has solved these problems by designing small to mid-size systems. Several patents, trade
